Facial rash in fold of skin
Facial rash, what is and what causes it?

Hello, For years I have outbreaks of skin rashes (red, scaly and itchy at times) that mainly occurs around the top of the nose, under the nose, eyebrows, cheeks above, the side of the face and neck. Now from what I read sounds like seborrheic dermatitis however I also get these outbreaks when using a particular product is, the American crew hair, was a medical product that is arnica gel, etc., which could also be included in the category of contact dermatitis. Is it possible to have a combination of the two? I know I should see a dermatologist and believe me I'm trying, but meanwhile does anyone have the same symptoms and what are the best treatments have been found so far? FYI I use a hydrocortisone cream 1% to treat it right and I can not tell by his face. Also when I'm on holiday in the sun ie / holiday the problem disappears completely. Thanks

You are correct. Seborrheic dermatitis. Contact dermatitis is not located only in those areas that you mentioned. And, hydrocortisone is relatively safe for the face, because it is not a fluorinated cortisone, so is less likely to cause problems skin. But still, should be used with caution. PS .. Sunlight is the anti-inflammatory for inflammatory conditions would be expected to resolve the sunlight.
