With proper treatment, can live through the scleroderma?

I've heard of people dying of scleroderma and I was wondering if you ever gets, I will be able to survive with proper treatment?

My second wife died in 1986 and Scleroderma I was diagnosed last fall. I go to University South Carolina Medical for treatment, have a excellend rheumatologist and the primary care physician, undergo acupuncture and meditation practice. There has been significant progress in the drugs available, even in the last five years, according to my doctor in South Carolina. I think the key to living with this disease is to be optimistic and be happy. I may be sick, but I do not retreat to suffer or live in fear.
