What to do for lupus skin rash
Dom malar facial rash – no lupus?!?

For most of my young life, I am now 23 women, I had a solar eruption A doctor has said recently is the malar rash associated with Lupus. My mother also has severe rheumatoid arthritis, had a laboratory test conducted last week, NAA analysis, which showed negative for the lupus. Sun skin I have this rash that develops on my checks and across the bridge of the nose, when I'm in the sun, stay for a week before fading. It is not itchy, no bumps, no pain, etc. Just be a very red-burnt. I've also been experimenting chronic headaches, I have made an appointment with a dermatologist soon to determine what else could be the cause, is it possible to test negative for lupus and still have it?, what other tests can be done? As another possible solution to my rash sun is there? Thank you.

Hello, sorry yor going through this. Let me explain some things. First lupus is called an autoimmune disease, where our own healthy cells that somthing is wrong to go to all attcking up and start our own cells. Below are several types of Lupus, the two who willl cover discoid (which only attacks the skin), the other is the LES (Lupus / body). For the diagnosis of SLE, there are 11 criteria that needs to be known. I'll list below. dr but most have failed for some reason. tend to see only the blood test and watch the blood markers for antibodies, mainly ANA somthing called. The fact is that healthy people can have a positive ANA all the time, not bad at all, and people with lupus can have a positive ANA times (I sometiems) or never. But doctors, who seems to be the end of everything, escpecially from the beginning, and during the first couple of visits. A malar rash, just dosent happen to healthy people. Only if they do not sunscreen protection zone solar and do the rest of his face. It has been documented that 5-10% can not have positive blood test. another 20% have from time to time, and can change in a day. Thus, while negative that day, another can be positive. The criteria and way of thinking about most doctors still use is a criterion used and created in 1982 in the 20s, before you were born. Migraines also run largely on lupus and other autoimmune paitents and may fall under the Criterion of Central Nervous System. A dermatologist may want to biopsy the area of your face. well, are able to take some skin, and leave little scarring. It seems that the area of photosensitivity Lupus too. so that's three. You need to see a Rhumotologist, and you need to observe for several months. diagnosis may take months or even a year. You need to get a good story their health. write it down, to present to a doctor, you may not know what is relevant. I personally went through 4 rhuemotologists until I found one that actually listened a life story (not all problems that occur at the same time. As for a solution that should avoid the sun, or use a screen of 30 or more sun. and avoid the sun from midday until 4 pm. I have some problems with the sun, and have a pool. Do not try to swim in those hours. I'll give you a list of Lupus diagnostic criteria, see if any of it belongs you, if you do it now or in the past, be sure to tell your dr. blood test also may change at any time. Mine change all the time, depending on how active is my Lupus. Yahoo Health Criteria Diagnosis: Diagnostic criteria for lupus The following criteria are used to distinguish lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus systemic or SLE) from other autoimmune and rheumatic diseases. A person with 4 of these 11 conditions can be diagnosed with lupus, 3 symptoms suggest that lupus is probably present, and 2 raise the possibility of lupus. Symptoms may be present all at once or appear in succession over a period of time. 1 Butterfly (malar) rash on cheeks Rash on face, arms, neck, torso (discoid rash) Skin rashes that result from exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet light (photosensitivity) Mouth or nasal ulcers, usually painless swelling of the joints, stiffness, pain involving two or more joints (arthritis) Inflammation the membranes surrounding the lungs (pleurisy) or heart (pericarditis). This inflammation is called serositis. Abnormalities in urine, protein increases or groups of red blood cells or kidney cells, called casts cells in urine nervous system problems such as seizures or psychosis, without known cause Problems with the blood, such as reducing the number of red blood cells (anemia), platelets or white blood cells of positive antinuclear antibodies (ANA) Test samples increased autoimmunity (antibodies against normal tissue), as shown by laboratory tests references I have had Lupus since my teenage years, but officially not diagnosed until my late 20's, Im now almost 40. I am a researcher, and have a Lupus and autoimmune support group Good Luck Chris
