What I can use on my skin to prevent drying during the winter?

The skin on my hands and legs often break out in rashes and crack during the winter. I'm not allergic to anything, but they get so cracked and red and ugly! What I can use to keep my skin healthy looking?

I use Oil of Olay all year round and have no problems. Check what you are using for washing and bathing in case any such ingredient does not appropriate.
