Daschunds are prone to skin problems?

My Daschund sometimes a rash on the skin and I wonder if it is normal and treatable or a rash happens that you are allergic to something or …. I really starting to worry me.

My Dachshund had really itchy skin, to the point I was going to zero until cold little formed. I did some research and was a grain-free food, the taste of the jungle, and that helped some, but then I discovered the raw diet prey-model, and since the switch has been great. His itching has almost disappeared, the jacket looks better and healthier, which has a more controllable power, teeth are cleaner, and their droppings have little or no odor and are much smaller, which means less time gathering in the yard for me. Feeding premium is not a panacea for all diseases out there, but it sure is good for them and that just might be the answer for your dog. Here are a couple of good sites and Yahoo web groups that can help you learn more about it and understand how to feed it. (And speaking from personal experience, it really is much easier what seems at first!)
