Diffuse scleroderma?
My husband has been diagnosed with diffuse scleroderma. We have four children and part-time job. We are concerned about the prognosis – But this seems to vary from doctor to doctor as conditions of each person are different. Your skin and lungs are affected permanently. I have to worry about too much about this disease? He is in the early stages. She wondered if anyone else can advise on what steps I expect – and what I can do or plan to prepare the next few years. Thank you.
My mother-in-law living with Scleroderma about 16 years. It was a very painful process for her. His hands and feet were performed and so their internal organs. There is little information about scleroderma and is good that your husband has an early diagnosis. There is a support group in the county I am from but, is very small because it is a rare diagnosis. Sorry for your family be going through this. There will be tough times ahead and your husband can begin to need help with the smallest daily tasks. I had to help my mother brush his teeth and could not get a tooth brush and hair as well. We help tie shoes and that sort of thing. Her husband will have to be strong and understanding. I hope the best for you and keep your family in my prayers.
