Cellulite is a fairly common type of skin infection. This infection is usually caused by staph or strep bacteria. The bacteria penetrate the skin through cuts, wounds, bruises, surgical incisions or other causes that alter the integrity of the skin barrier.

The best way to prevent cellulite remains prevention through hygiene and skin care. Avoid adding trauma to the skin and see a doctor if a cut or wound on the skin can cause symptoms of infection. Be aware of signs and symptoms of infection such as redness, itching, swelling, pain, fever and loss or decrease in function body of the infected. Taking antibiotics prescribed by your doctor and always keep a healthy lifestyle.
